Fengshui Forms and various configurations for House

Some text that i share from the fengshui classics

  • The form of a house is auspicious if it is regular in shape, and also pleasing to the eye.  It should not be very tall, wide, too small, tilting / bulging to left / Right side or irregular. If the house is any of this featured then there is decline in health / wealth.
  •  The classic says  a house is noble when “form of a house is regular, upright and proper, then the house is considered bold and heroic, and a feeling of being protected in a responsible way.
  • The surrounding walls should be solid, clean and bright.
  • Housing structure should not be unbalanced, i.e. the back and the front are the same height, or the east and the west fight with each other or one side is much taller than the other, then it is an unpleasant house.
  • When the house is small but tall, and standing alone without any protection on four sides, then it is a lonely and cold house.
  • When it falls to the east and leans to the west with the ridge pole broken and the beams not straight, the wind whistles through and the roof leaks, then it is a sad and painful house.
  • When the house is too dark, too wide and too deep; then it is an evil and strange house.
  • When the house is untidy and broken down, with the four walls in a state of repair and the plaster chipping off, then it is said to sad and uncared house.
  • For a House that is located on the steep slope of a land/hill, with its front off the ground and the back of the house(foundation cuts into the slope land). Not good.
  • A tall house that sits on small and narrow plot of land, then the house suffers from wealth and health.
  • A low House sitting on a large and wide plot signs of  growth & Potential.
  • A ordinary house should look humble and tightly planned to achieve good fortune.

Courtyard
  • The courtyards should be airy , then it is a house of wealth and harmony.
  • The courtyard outside the bedrooms is different to the living area.
  • The courtyard outside the living area can be generous, but not for the bedrooms, then the qi will disperse.
  • Courtyards as known, are good for generation of wealth. The front courtyard should be used as -“The Table Mountain” ‘Au Shan’ rectangle shape wide but tapering inwards.
  • Presence of a Building / House in front of the host courtyard - should not be too high or too low, the guest and the host are in harmony and good fortune is achievable.
  • If the building in front of the host’s courtyard is too tall, the host is being insulted. And, if the house or building in front of Host courtyard is too low, the guest is being humbled.
  • If the Building / House is very close to the courtyard then, it is ‘under pressure’ and if  too far away it is ‘left in the wilderness’.

In a house, the courtyard outside the rear Main Hall is the ’Xiao Ming Tang (the Small Bright Hall). The Front Hall in front of the Main Hall is the first ‘Au Shan’ (Table Mountain). The courtyard between the Front Hall and the Main Gate is the middle ‘Ming Tang’ with the gateway building the second ‘Au Shan’. The open space in front of the house is the large ‘Ming Tang’ and the distant mountains being the third ‘Au Shan’. The small ‘Ming Tang’ should be smaller and tighter, the middle ‘Ming Tang’ should be wide and generous but not too much so it feels like being in the wilderness.

The courtyard to the living area can be bigger compared to the courtyard off the sleeping area.

The Classic says: “When the house is small with many people living in it, it is auspicious since the people control  the house. When the house is large with fewer people living in it, then it is harmful because the house is in control of the people.

It also says: “When the (existing) old (house) is being sandwiched by two new (additions), you must not live there. When two (existing) old (buildings) sandwich one new (addition) then you will bring honour to your ancestors. When one old (building) is attached to one new (addition), then you have made the old rotten millets grow again”.

Changes made to an existing house should be gradual and not too drastic.

When there are more young people than old living in a house, it will be vigorous and prosperous for a long time. When the owner of the house only lives there half the time, there is no leader and the people will disperse.

Bays
Have odd number of Bay’s and not even number of bays.

Pillars
Avoid a crooked pillar which is damaged by ants or other pests or a pillar standing on its own
If the ridge pole slopes and the support beam is bent, it will lead to incessant gossips.
If the ridge pole doesn’t sit on the beam properly, it will lead to sorrow every three years”.

Planning your House? Try to avoid a complicated house plan
The formula says (note to be studied in details):
Qian House is missing in Li, then the daughter of the middle heir will become blind.
Kan House is bulging out in Qian, then the Old Grandfather of the house will have drinking and    womanising problems.
Kan House is missing in Xun, then some young members of the male heir will die.
Gen House is missing in Kun, then the male heir will have no son without saying.
Zhen House is missing in Qian, then the male heir will have a child after he dies.
Xun House is missing in Zhen, then the male heir will be alone.
Li House is missing in Qian, then the male heir will have no descendant.
Kun House is missing in Gen, then some young members of the male heir will die.
Dui House is missing with some corners, then it will lead to emptiness like others.

In selecting a house, we need to consider 2 things: -

1. How the topography of the land and the neighbourhood is affecting the house ( “Wai Xing”)
    External forms
2. How the internal layout and the design is affecting the house (“Nei Xing”) Internal form

The Xing- Shi Pai (Form and Configuration School) Feng Shui is more concerned with the ‘Wai Xing’
The Liqi Pai (or Compass School) Feng Shui is more concerned with the ‘Nei Xing’ of a house.

The ‘Nei Xing’, refers to the internal aspects such as the shape of the floor plan,
            structure of the building,
            layout of the rooms,
relationship of the house to the outbuildings,
size and shape of the courtyard,
            location of doors and passageways,
layout of the kitchen and toilets,
window sizes and locations of openings,
            bed room, bed positions
            choice of furniture and furnishing.
            layout of the boundary fences
            design of the garden,
            colour and material choice.

‘Bazhai Ming Jing’ places more importance on the ‘Wai Xing’ of a building. It recommends that the house should be regular in shape, not too tall, not too wide, not too narrow or taper with sharp ends or with awkward shapes. A house with missing corners and random indentations or projections will find it difficult to be prosperous. The shape and sizes should be appropriate to its function. The form and proportions of the house should be pleasing to the eye.

Since Bazhai (or Eight Houses) Feng Shui is concerned with the 8 types of qi coming from 8 directions, objects in the 8 directions should be in harmony with each other. Any imbalance in Form or Space could lead to disharmony, which is undesirable and is considered inauspicious.

LandForms

LANDFORMS

As our planet travels in its orbit around the sun, it is exposed to the influences of the other heavenly bodies around it.  Over the span of time, these influences have changed the form of the land and imbibed it with Qi. This is the meaning of the interaction between the Heavens and Earth that is referred to by the term "Kan Yu", the original name of Feng Shui.  As such, the study of the influence of landforms is key to the understanding of Feng Shui and the effects of Qi upon a property.

Mountain landforms are Yin in nature, while Water landforms are Yang.  This is because Mountain landforms are still and Water landforms are active.  The spot at which Mountain and Water meet is called a "Meridian Spot", and it is at this point that new Qi is produced.

Mountains and the Five Elements
Mountains can be classified into the Five Elements according to their shapes.  Mountains that are sharp and pointed at the top are considered Fire in nature.  Mountains with rounded appearances are associated with Metal.  Mountains that are tall and slender are Wood shape mountains.  Mountains that have irregular, "wavy" forms are associated with Water.  Finally, Mountains that are relatively flat on top are considered Earth shape mountains.

Manmade structures like buildings can also be categorized as one of the Five Elements.  Although such structures don't generate Qi in and of themselves, they can attract Qi over time, and influence its flow.

Elemental Interactions Between Landforms
At a beginner level, it is possible to evaluate the influence of external Mountain forms upon your property by looking at the Elemental interactions between the environment and your home.

If the forms and buildings around your home are of Elemental forms that produce the Element that your building is associated with, they are considered to provide Qi to your home.  For example, if your home has a Fire shape, and your neighbor's home has a Wood shape, your home benefits from the presence of your neighbor's home.  If the opposite happens, however, it is detrimental to you, and your home would be "leaking" Qi to your neighbor's home.  It is also beneficial if both homes are of the same Element.

If your home's Element controls the Element of a neighboring structure, it is considered good for your wealth prospects.  On the other hand, if your home is being controlled, your wealth prospects are being countered.

Bazhai Mingjing (White mirror)

Commonly practice in Fenghsui, involving study and analzing 8 Mansions (also know as Palaces/Houses), Wandering Stars that are involved are Sheng Qi, Tian Yi, Yan Nian, Fu Wei, Liu Sha, Huo Hai, Wu Gui, Jue Ming.

The study is about knowing about energy spread of the property i.e. Qi Map within a time frame and how this energy is going to effect the residents (Mings). In effect trying to fine tune the Ming Gua to the Qi Map.

To every Ming is associated 8 stars(Qi) that is translated to something good & not good depending on the time itself and at a particular palace. So,

    Bazhai comprising of 8 Palaces
#1 Kan, #3 Zhen, #4 Xun and #9 Li are the east four Ming,
#2 Kun, #6 Qian, #7 Dui and #8 Gen are the west four Ming.

“Ba Gua / also known Pa Gua” literally meaning 8 houses/Palaces/Mansions, associated to Bazhai Mingjing studies. These are
KAN associated to Water which is Yang North Palace
KUN associated to Earth which is Yin & SW Palace
Zhen associated to Wood which is Yang & East Palace
Xun associated to Wood which is Yin & South East Palace
                              Centre associated to Earth
Qian associated to Metal which is yang & North West Palace
Dui associated to Metal which is yin & West  Palace
Gen associated to Earth which is Yang & North East Palace
Li associated to Fire which is Yin and South Palace

Now what is the representation of any Gua. Say Gen Gua

GEN (Stillness)
Some key words that associates to Gen are  Embodying, Securing,  accumulating, Standing Maintaining, Settling, Defining, Finishing, restraining, resisting, backing up, culminating, enduring, manifestation, Identity, Stature, domain, landmark, terms, confirmation, edifice, tact, plateau, transition, repository, proximity,  attainment, composed, benevolent, magnanimous, steadfast, objective, genuine, conscientious, dependable, centered, circumscribed, inevitable, cohesive, stubborn, limited, static, concrete, contemplative, realized, guarded, principled, circumspect, quiet, attentive.

More words/ things associated to Gen Gua are Stillness, Back, Spine; background, past, Grasp, Seize, take, hold, secure, Boundaries, Limits, restrictions, thresholds, genuine, honest, MOUNTAIN, Stopping, Stillness, restraint, constraint; keep still, Rest, stillness, silence, calm.

NorthEast, Outcome, end, conclusion, Dog (guarding, watching),Hand, The Youngest Son, Narrow (more difficult but short & Direct) Road, path, way, journey,  average stones, rocks, Gates, gateways, doors, doorways (&) watchtowers, lookouts, The Fruits of plants, A gate- an entrance keeper; hall, courtyard, A finger; pointing, directing, Rat, rodentia, Black -; billed, beaked birds such as ravens, crows, Trees, wood – which are stout, robust, strong With many numerous Joints, knots

In the study of Bazhai Mingjing, we have 8 wandering Stars. Of the 8 stars 4 stars are auspicious and 4 are inauspicious. They are
1)      Sheng Qi  (Greedy Wolf) which is Yang wood and is most beneficial
2)      Tiayn Yi (Huge Door) which is Yang Earth is beneficial
3)      Yan Nian (Military Arts) which is Yang Metal is beneficial
4)      Fu Wei (L&R Assistant) which is Yin Wood and beneficial

Details  8 Mansions Prosperous Stars

In the Eight Mansions and Flying Stars systems of Feng Shui, the term "Star" is used to represent a body of Qi. These Stars are frequently assigned a number and/or color to help us understand the types of Qi they represent and the ways that they can affect us.

In Eight Mansions Feng Shui, there are four Stars that bring positive effects. They are:

Sheng Qi, which means "life generating". in classical Feng Shui texts, this Star is sometimes called Tan Lang, meaning "Greedy Wolf". Sheng Qi is associated with the Wood Phase and it governs success, authority, nobility, status and wealth aspects in our lives. Sheng Qi is thus a good Star to tap into for career or wealth-related pursuits, but is not conducive for rest or sleep-related activities.

Tian Yi, the "Heavenly Doctor". In classical texts, this Star is often called Ju Men, or "Huge Door". It is represented by the Earth Phase and relates to the presence of noble people, status and health prospects. Tian Yi is a good Star to use for rest and recouperation, or when one needs help from mentors in one's career. Tian Yi can also impact one's ability to persuade or convince others, due to its association with nobility.

Yan Nian, which represents longevity. The original name for the Yan Nian Star is Wu Qui, or "Military Arts". Yan Nian is associated with the Metal Phase and with good relationships with other people. It also governs communication and networking aspects, as well as family harmony and domestic bliss.

Fu Wei, which brings stability. In classical texts, Fu Wei is called Fu Bi, meaning "Assistant". It is associated with the Wood Phase and it brings calmness and tranquility. Fu Wei is a good star to tap into for meditation, concentration or study.

These Stars are beneficial and are located in fixed palace for individual Ming (person).

Apart from these we have not beneficial malevolent stars are they are

5)      Liu Sha (literary Arts) which is Yang Water is less Harmful
6)      Huo Hai (Rewards Star) which is Yin Earth is more harmful
7)      Wu Gui (Chastity) which is yang Fire even more harmful
8)      Jue Ming (Broken Soldier) which is Yin Metal most harmful

These Stars are not beneficial and are located in fixed palace for individual Ming (person).

When Ming(Person) Gua & Zhai Gua (Property)  are in Harmony, Wealth & Kids prosper. But when Ming & House are contrary, then people, wealth, health & relationship decline/ suffer or life is that of poverty & even suffer extinction.

Though Bazhai Mingjing also has a time factor involved, the results of effects are slow.

Analysis is done keeping into mind the
a)  Timeliness
b)  Control, Weaking, Producing cyles
c)  Host Guest Relationship
d)  Forms and 5 celestial animals

In Bazhai, the Sitting and Facing directions of the property are very important. Emphasis is on the location & Direction of Main Door i.e. in which palace is the door located and in that palace what is the direction , The Kitchen location and particularly Stove Direction and Location and finally Bedrooms.

If, it is difficult to move from a house, then there are 24 orientations & if it unsuitable for occupants, then we can examine the locations of Doors, Stove & Beds.

i) i.e. if a house is not beneficial, then change the Door (1st & Important) – it becomes beneficial.
ii) if a room in a house is not beneficial, then change the Room Door, it becomes auspicious.
iii) Location of bed, Door & measurement is important then.
iv) if a East person dwells in west House, then by changing stove position is also helpful.
v) if a East Ming Person Marries a East Ming Female then Marriage is good & peaceful , will not be lonely and will have children

Allocation of Room, Beds are important with measurements for beneficial results, They have to be used in conjunction. Door's, windows & balcony locations are also significant.

Intro to Fengshui

Feng Shui commonly follows the practice of 2 studies and they are
  • Bazhai Ming Jing - 8 Mansions (White Mirror)
  • Xuan Kong Fie Xing (XGFS) Flying Star Feng Shui

Also,to this is incorporated Hetu concepts, the concepts and study  of  Yin-Yang principles, Wu Xing Principles, and importantly timeliness.

Bazhai follow 8 palaces (mansions) , whereby XGFS follows the Lou shu grid. 9 grids.

Besides these commonly practiced Fengshu sciences also exists Xuan Kong Da Gua (XKDG), the study of Hexagrams and its predictable effects which is applied to external environment.

Bazhai MingJing

Bazhai Mingjing considers important factors mentioned below. But we also work out and analyse the energy map of the House/property and then try to fine tune the residents (Ming Gua).
1)      Ming Gua of person /s
2)      Zhai Gua of the Palace itself
3)      East/West Ming / Group
4)      Timeliness
5)      San Yuan/ Yun. Present  Yaun is Lower. Period 8. Starting from 2004.  Stem Branch Jia/Shen

To Find the Ming Gua of any person, need to enter your Date of Birth on the Right side Bar
If your numbers are 1,3,4,9 then you belong to East Group
If your numbers are 2,6,7,8 then you belong to West Group

To find the Zhai Gua of property use this

The Eight types of Houses are grouped ito East Group & West Group. They are
A Li House sits South & faces North
A Zhen House sits East & faces West
A Xun House sits Southeast & faces North West
A Kan House sits North & faces South
A Qian House Sits Northwest & faces Southeast
A Dui House sits West & faces East
A Gen House sits Northeast & faces Southwest
A Kun House sits southwest & faces Northeast

East Group House are : Li House, Zhen House, Xun House, Kan Houses
West Group House are : Qian House, Dui House, Gen House, Kun House

Suitablity is on East Group People residing in East Group House & West Ming Group people residing in West Group House. But if East Ming group resides in West or if either of spouse's are East or west Ming then there are methods to bring in Harmony.

Now What's "Qi"
The “Qi” or energy distribution for property depends on the period that the house was built and the facing direction of the house. A house is characterized by this "Qi" distribution and it does not change unless you carry out a major renovation. While the “Qi” distribution in a house remains unchanged, the quality of the “Qi” changes in different periods. A “Qi” distribution that is good in one period may become bad in another. That is why luck changes over time. And Feng Shui has a time dimension as least for San Yuan based Feng Shui systems such as Xuan Kong Da Gua (Hexagram) or Xuan Kong Fei Xing (Flying star).

Xuan kong Fie Xing (Flying Star Feng Shui)
Study involves 9 Stars that flying in a predetermined path. In Flying stars FengShui the results are faster and predictable.

Stars are
1) 1 White Star (Tan Lang) Benevolent
2) 2 Black  Earth (Ju Men)  Star
3) 3 Jade Wood (Lu Cun)  Star
4) 4 Green Wood ( Wen Qu) Star
5) 5 Yellow Earth (Lian Zhen) Sha Qi
6) 6 White Metal (Wu Qu) Benevolent Star
7) 7 Red Metal (Po Jun) Star
8) 8 White Earth (Zuo Fu) Benevolent Star
9) 9 Purple Fire (You Bi) Benevolent Star

Note :  benevolent Stars are genrally considered favourable and are not mean, unlike the other stars. For period 2004 to 2023 i.e. period 8 i.e. San Yuan Lower period Stars benevolent stars are
1, 8 & 9.

Star 8 is Wang wei, Star 1 & 9 is Sheng Qi.
Star 4 & 5 is Sha Qi. To be avoided.
Star 3 is untimely but usuable.
Star 2 is Dead Qi. Untimely & -ve
Star 7 is Tui Qi. Retreating Qi & also negative
Star 6 is otherwise benevolent star, but is untimely. Neutral.

Nine Star Grid. Flying Star

Article on Study & Career – Feng Shui with Bazi approach

Article on Study & Career – Feng Shui with Bazi approach

With Stiff competition these days, Parents & their children are very cautious of the field of Study they should choose, in which they can excel. Every parent dreams that his child gains the best education, excels in his/her study and then leverages that education later on in his life, into the best possible career.

We all have, as a parent, (I must emphasize here strongly), have either imposed or given our opinion to the child, based on what we are aware of or heard of, without considering what the child wants to study or is naturally inclined to. Many times even the young child is not aware of what he/she is good at. Maybe the parents are right, but at what costs. Study & Career would gel well if there exists a linear growth over a period of time of person’s life, without the child loosing his spirits, enjoying what he/her is naturally inclined to perform best & maintaining his mental balance, health, relationships. i.e. Bringing about a balance in his life. Otherwise fatigue, mental stress, health issues, paranoids; distinct variations in behavior & attitudes overrides his life. Consequences are bad.

To address this issue, we have a solution proven since eternal times. The Study of Chinese Metaphysics Five Arts (5A). In the study of Five Arts, there exists 2 specialized fields namely Ming SueThe Study of Destiny and Xiang Xue The Study of Physiogonomy (also know as Feng Shui). These two sciences are intricately linked to each other by first diagnosing and then bringing about Harmony & Balance in one’s life. In our case, we are restricting ourselves to these 2 studies here because of our focus of topic. The aspect of Academics & Career can be determined even at a very young age of a child.

Bazi, (also know as Si Zhu Ba Zi) is one of the specialized studies in Ming Sue which concerns Destiny Analysis. By decoding one’s destiny, we can gain insight into one’s life. Bazi delves more into analyzing through scientific & proven decoding destiny techniques. In our case, the child’s interests and inclination in studies, performances & latent talents in academics are revealed, what must he/she study, the child’s capacity to study & perform in academics, thinking abilities.

We can decipher which particular area or field should one pursue so that the child perform his/her best in academics. Example Humanities, Psychology, Talents i.e. Art, Dramatist, Medicine, Sciences, Legal.. to name a few and further for career, which Industry is most suited. e.g. Working as Professional or Business e.g. Lawyer, Armed Forces, Hospitality, Medicine & Doctor, Sports Person, Novelist, Media, Artist, Management Staff, Teacher, Accountant, engineering & in which field of engineering viz. Computer, Chemical, Mechanical, Tele-Communication, Air Nautical  etc, to many more professions like Speculative industry like Stocks Trading, Pilots, Farmer, Jeweler, fashions or even business & what types would be most suitable.

This advanced sciences also reveal yet another intriguing aspect of what role the child will be most suited & desired (example Sales, Marketing, Analyzer, Leader, Communicator, Organizer, Planner, Performer, Director, Coordinator, Speaker, Trainer, Designer etc. which will bring growth & happiness and overall balance in his/her life.

This is only one aspects, other aspects include Health with prognosis, Wealth & best path to Wealth, Marriage, Family, Career, Travel, Relocation etc. in the course of his life.

If, Bazi is the Diagnosis of one’s destiny and curing through one’s actions, then Feng Shui is the cure through nature’s forces or what we terms earthly energies. Classical Feng Shui –Xiang Xue (not the cosmetic modern Feng Shui as commonly heard of) can bring about remedial measures or cure that we can describe in simple words besides human actions. Feng Shui in the truer sense is harmonizing the family members staying within a property or a House or for people working in a work place (Office) or factory also considering the external & internal residing place. Applying Feng Shui principles to children for Study or academic purposes is akin to offer cures like a doctor offer medicines for certain illness. This is very much possible and after having diagnosed the destiny of a person.

Finally to conclude person life path is governed by Trinity of Luck – Heaven’s Luck, Man’s Luck & Earth Luck. These Lucks are 1/3 each implying that by studying & analyzing the Heaven’s luck (a third), the possibility of altering one’s fortunes is two third. Great!! The remaining 2/3 includes Man’s Luck (Efforts, Attitudes, Determination, Family upbringing by parents, Circle of friends and influences) & Earth Luck (House, house surroundings & environment i.e. Feng Shui).

Feng Shui - The Classical Study of Physiognomy

Feng Shui

The Classical Study of PHYSIOGNOMY

The use of Feng Shui practice as a science & thus Study of Physiognomy of a Land, Place, Office, Factory or even City is for overall harmony. So, Feng Shui is one of the very important studies of Chinese Metaphysics which is also known as Earthly Luck. The other’s being Heaven Luck & Human Luck, as all are divided equally in governing the destiny of a person. We call this “The Trinity of Luck”.

Before I start of with this important information, I would like to share with you that Classical Feng Shui is not about Laughing Buddha, Wind Chimes, Dragons artifacts etc. This has been incorrectly projected and preconceived by many. Another important point is just like astrological solutions of person, we need to scientifically analyze the “place of residence” or “workplace” to obtain the desired results.

In other words, the practice of classical Feng Shui is much beyond; with scientific & mathematical calculations of COSMIC FORCES (which is known as “Qi”). It is a complete & predictable study of Metaphysics.

History
To address the issue of one’s destiny & his dwelling Place, we have solution proven since eternal times. The Study of Chinese Metaphysics (Five Arts). In the study of Five Arts, there exists 2 specialized Fields namely Ming Suethe Study of Destiny  and Xiang Xue The Study of Physiognomy
(also know as Feng Shui). These two sciences can  be intricately linked to each other by first diagnosing  and then bringing about Harmony & Balance in one’s life. In our case, we are restricting ourselves to these 2 studies here because of our focus of topic. Every aspect such as Wealth, Career, Relationships, Health & prognosis can be determined.

Small Note:
Bazi, (also know as Si Zhu BaZi) is one of the specialized studies in Ming Sue which concerns Destiny Analysis. By decoding one’s destiny, we can gain insight into one’s life. If, Bazi is the Diagnosis of one’s destiny and curing is through one’s actions then …

Feng Shui
Feng Shui is the cure through nature’s forces or what we term Earthly Energies (resulting from cosmic forces) & their interactions. Classical Feng Shui –Xiang Xue (not the cosmetic modern Feng Shui as commonly heard of) can bring about definite remedial measures. Feng Shui in the truer sense is harmonizing the family members staying within a dwelling / house or for people working in a work place, office, shop or

Factory. We also consider the external & internal environmental factors of place of house or workplace during the process of audit. Applying Feng Shui principles is akin to offering solutions like a doctor offer medicines for certain illness. This is very much possible.

Understanding the principles of Feng Shui
1) “Qi heals Qi” (spelled as “Chee”)
2) “Forms over ride Formulas”
3) “Interactions of Energies and their likely outcomes” on individuals.
4) “Timeliness of various energies”

The basis of study is evolved around the 5 Cosmic Forces (or Elements). These are namely Fire, Earth, Metal, Wood & Water. We can imagine them to be physical elements (or symbolic representations) that are seen & imagined in our mother earth, but beyond this imagination, we can also define them as cosmic energies that govern our earth & universe. These energies in Chinese are what we call as “Qi”.

Qi is influenced by various planets, Stars & Moon and this reflects & influences the physical environment here in our earth, every place & all the times on all living forms. These Qi are in fact “Yin & Yang” in nature so these distinct energies influence the life forms & environments (both internal & External). Understanding the Yin & Yang dynamics is thus very important underlying principle of Chinese Metaphysics.

The influencing relationships between these elements or “Qi” are in accordance with the cycles (Timeliness) that is to say if the relationship between elements (Wu Xing) is that of producing, controlling or weakening. For example Wood produce Fire, Fire produces Earth, Earth then produces Metal, Metal producing Water & then back to Water producing Wood. This is how we can imagine the elemental relationship in a cyclical form. Similarly we have controlling & weakening cycles.

Now, each of these elements tells us infinite things, some of which are events, potential changes , seasons, personality traits, psychological behaviors & attitudes, individual characteristics of person external environments surrounding our residential place where we live or work, internal environment within our house and if these energies interact in a beneficial manner or not.

Studying & understanding the relationships, association Interactions between elements, when & what type Exists, in what strengths, which element & elemental Interaction outcome, favors or does not, is the Doctrine. This is with respect to cosmic interactions Within a House or shop, office, within persons And house.

Self Pondering
Like every person has a unique element according to his/her Date & Place of Birth. The Place of residence is also influenced by unique Star, number. According to when the house/property was constructed and when it was first occupied. So Date of Birth of Property is very important in analyzing the movement & inter relationships of cosmic forces (Qi) of the said property. Have you pondered, that in analyzing a person’s destiny, we only consider date, place & time of Birth of that person, but never the date of birth & time of the property where the person resides. The property also has energies constantly circulating in cycles and causing effect to a place. Understanding the relationships with House & persons cosmic forces is the key to FENG SHUI.
Even if an existing House needs renovation (Major/Minor) Feng Shui principles are applicable in different ways.

FENG SHUI for Earth Luck i.e. for Houses, Factory, Showrooms & Shops

In order to get complete and true picture (important) –   Using sound principles & through mathematical Calculations Energy chart of the House is worked Out first i.e. the Energy map that are timely and Continuous. Finally to conclude person’s life path is governed by Trinity of Luck as mentioned earlier – Heaven’s Luck, Man’s Luck & Earth Luck. Feng Shui). Through these two sciences, we can actually analyze the capacity of a person and energy map of the house of residence or workplace or for that matter even city
